Ideation

I enjoy electronic circuits and also I enjoy the process of soldering. I had already soldered SMD (size 1206). but I know there are smaller packages out there. So, what about buying a hot plate to help me with my work?
No, wait a minute!
How about making one myself? ⌐■_■.
Here is my idea I will build a hot plate and try to develop it to be even better that the commercial ones.

• I want to make it easy to use so users from a different background (hobbies, engineers, ... etc) could use it.
• I want to make with a safety mechanism that I turn off the heat after while of not being used.
• I want to make it look fancy and not just like any soldering plate I plan to make it some nice wood for the outer shell.
• I want to add LED strip that change color according to the temperature.
