Dissemination plan¶
In reality, I don’t really intend for my project to be “disseminated”. However, for the purpose of this exercice, I can try to imagine what a dissemination plan would look like.
One solution would be to directly sell the product. Kevin Holmes, who designs some 3D zoetropes, sells online some kits to build them. This would be one way, but it seems that it would be hard to reach a large enough volume to reduce the cost in order to sell it for a reasonable price.
Another approach could be to sell the service. I would then design unique zoetropes tailored for the customer’s need. Maybe some museums, brands or malls could be interested in having this kind of product.
Licensing¶
Before deciding under which type of license I wanted to release my work, I read the wikipedia article about creative commons license. They have a great picture that summarizes the different licenses and what they allow to do. The picture itself is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International:
I decided to share my final project under the Creative commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This would apply to the design files, that could be shared and adapted, as long as appropriate credit is given and that changes are indicated. Concerning the code, I didn’t really decide yet, but I’ll probably release it under the MIT license.
