Reflection¶
I thought this week was one of the more challenging weeks, but in a good way, as I gained an important skill and learned how to fix the Embroider machine. I also learned how to solve my problems in a creative and innovative way. Having had to break, and fix the machine 2 times in one day, I learned a great deal about how to deal with an issue that seems impossible to resolve, as well as one that no one else had experienced before. Instead of being frustrated, which I was a bit initially, you must think about what you know and figure out what you don’t know. I knew that the cut button on the machine was able to cut a little bit of thread, enough to pull it out under normal circumstances. So, I continuously pressed the button and pulled the caught thread out. I also learned how to change out the needle, which wasn’t even addressed in the videos that Mr. Dubick provided.
