Final Project Summary

Final Project Summary

This project is an decorative interactive shelf that reacts to objects that are placed on it. This project uses a APDS9960 color, gesture, and proximity sensor input that works using I2C with the chip. The output of the project is neopixels that will take the information from the sensor, and light up in accordance with what the sensor reads. Originally, the self was meant to light up to reflect the color of the object that was placed on it, however due to inaccuracies with the chips ability to read the colors correctly, I changed the function of the sensor to read proximity. The neopixels turn from green to red as you place something on it. This project was origninally milled from a sheet of 1/2in plywood and resin was poured into the pockets to add a cool pop of color.
