18. Wildcard week

This week I used the resin printer as it is something I have never used before

Assignment

This week I found a cute gnome sitting on a mushroom on thingiverse.com and then used the SLA printer to print it. To do so I had to download the StL file from Thingiverse and send it to the computer connected to SLA printer. Then I put it in to Preform where I shrunk it to 3 inches and then used the one click supports feature which automatically adds supports. gnome One Click Gnome with Supports

then pressed the start button on thge resin printer. It took 3 hours. My instructor then took gnome out of the printer and put it in an isoprobal alchol bath for 15 minutes. Gnome in IsoprobalAlcohol

The set in in a uv light ioven for another 15 minutes. After that I cut off the supports and I was done.
