Introduction

This section is like a Q&A section of fabacademy the only difference is that its related to the final project. In the future this page could be of a lot of help for the reader and the researcher.
How everything was planned?
How did it come out ? These are some of the questions that I would like to answer after the proect is done.

What will it do?

The project will control the airflow of the dome dryer to maintain a constant temperature/humidity in it to dry food. It will also collect data of each layer. currently the parameter provided as per requirements to measure is temperature.

Who's done what beforehand?

There were a lot of projects based on Dome dryers that were done in the past, currently I’m working on a miniature version on a Forced Convection Solar Dome Dryer.
The previous projects that were based on the Dome Dryer were carried out by the students of DIC (Design Innovation Centre) at Vigyan Ashram all of their research are frequently updated on the Vadic website.
This will in turn be shown on the references section of the project page.

What will you design?

Problem with the dryer is its airflow system since it’s a forced convection dryer airflow and channelling plays a major part in serving its purpose so my goal is to improve the airflow system and provide an interface for user to monitor the different parameters like Temperature and Humidity in Realtime.

What materials and components will be used?

As far as components/materials go its majority of them will be fabricated in the lab. Eg:- For the casing I'm using PLA which is supplied from an online supplier.
For materials I would say Plywood,PLA,Acrylic are some of the materials that I'm using.
Electronic componenets like ESP32 and various IC are ordered from external sources this is even available in the fablab inventory.

Where will the components come from?

Most of the parts are sourced locally from here in Pabal,India but some of the components that are essential to the project like electronic components and sensors are sourced from online suppliers like Digi-Key.in and Robu.in.
The suppliers are mostly based in the United States and China but some are also based in India also.

What parts and systems will be made?

Parts like the logic board and the casings will be made at the lab via digital fabrication. More over the project mostly depends on system integration and a bit of assembly.
This is one of the more crucial parts of the project but people often get stuck at this stage. Hence I would need help while packaging and integrating the system as a whole.

How much will they cost?

The cost of each part will be given in the Bill Of Materials, I request the readers to check the BOM for a detailed view of how much the parts cost.

What processes will be used?

Additive and subtractive manufacturing processes will be used to build most of the parts like casing, but there are some other changes that needs to be done for mounting the exhaust fan on to the dryer and this will take some processes like drilling,boring welding etc from a fabricator.

What questions need to be answered?

This question dosen't have a concrete answer, inturn I would say its currently upto my mentor who asked me to work on this project to check this box.
I'm looking for his opinion right now because all the check boxes must be checked under hid supervision. Therefore I would be updating this question later.

How will it be evaluated?

First I thought that I would be evaluating the project in terms of efficiency but now it feels like I should let my mentor decided on thois aspect. Currently the project is almost done but to eveluate it myself I say that it can maintain a constant temperature and humidity inside the doome dryer.
But everyone has a different opinion about this project. Again I would let my mentor decide on this and then update it over here in the future.
