17. Project Development¶
Learning outcomes¶
- Implement project plan
- Apply time management techniques
- Summarise and communicate the essence of your project development
Objectives¶
- what tasks have been completed?
- what tasks remain?
- what has worked? what hasn’t?
- what questions need to be resolved?
- what will happen when?
- what have you learned?
What tasks have been completed?
- 2D modelling
- 3D modelling
- Additive manufacturing
- Suntractive manufacturing
- electronics and programming
- use of input and output devices
What tasks remain?
- All the major tasks outlined have been completed
What has worked? what hasn’t?
- All the circuits built and tested are working including components.
What questions need to be resolved?
- Currently there are no questions to be resolved.
What have you learned?
-
Time management: Final projects often have deadlines that need to be met, which requires good time management skills in order to ensure that the project is completed on time and to a high standard.
-
Collaboration: Depending on the project, collaboration with others may be necessary in order to achieve the desired outcome. This requires effective communication and teamwork skills to ensure that everyone is working towards the same goal.
-
Problem-solving: Final projects often require the ability to identify and solve problems that arise along the way. This requires critical thinking skills and the ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of challenges.
-
Attention to detail: Final projects often require a high level of attention to detail in order to ensure that everything is completed correctly and to a high standard.
-
Presentation skills: Depending on the project, it may be necessary to present the final product to others. This requires good presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively in order to convey the information in a clear and concise manner.
Progress of Final Project¶
My idea for the final project was to build an automatic watering system for plants, so initially I did a Sketch of the system and components to be used that would be available at the lab.
Design of the structure of the greenhouse:
- Cutting of the base
- assembling of the base and plant mounts
- 3d printing of the hinges mounts electronic housing
- Mounting of the walls and roof
