What is Embroidery?

This week i will be using the Brother PE550D embroidery machine at our lab.

I decided to do an embroidery of the National Flag of Trinidad and Tobago.

I used the autocad software to create a sketch of the design which was approximately 2in x 3in.

The file was then imported into inkscape in order to prepare it to be used in the embroidery machine.

The image was then traced as a bitmap.

I selected multiple scans and the default should be brightness steps change it to colours and click apply.

I dragged the bitmap and deleted the original image

The params tab was then edited in order to create the toolpath for embroidery.

I then proceeded to > extensions > inkstitck > filltools then break apart and hit apply.

The required files was saved on a flash drive in a .pes format in order for the brother pe55od to read them.I inserted the flsah drive into the machine and then powered it on as shown below.
