Fab Academy Student Agreement

The Fab Academy is responsible for:

  • Teaching principles and practices of digital fabrication.
  • Organize lectures, recitations, meetings and events for the class.
  • Assess and provide feedback on student work.
  • Offer clear standards for completing tasks
  • Certification and filing of student progress
  • Supervision of class preparation.
  • Review of potential students, instructors and laboratories
  • Provide central staff and infrastructure for students, instructors and laboratories.
  • Fundraising for costs not covered by student tuition
  • Manage and report on the finances, results and impacts of the program.
  • Advertise the program
  • Promoting an environment of respect free of harassment and discrimination

I am a Fab Academy student, responsible for:

  • Attend lectures in class and participate in reviews. Develop and document assigned projects to present and demonstrate skills.
  • Allow Fab Academy to share my work (with attribution) in the class for purposes consistent with its mission
  • Report honestly about my work and appropriately attribute the work of others.
  • Working safely
  • Leave the work spaces in the same (or better) conditions that I found them
  • Participate in the maintenance of my laboratory.
  • Make sure my tuition to cover the costs of local and central classes is covered
  • Follow locally applicable health and safety guidelines
  • Promoting an environment of respect free of harassment and discrimination
