Fab Academy Student Agreement
The Fab Academy is responsible for:
- Teaching principles and practices of digital fabrication.
- Organize lectures, recitations, meetings and events for the class.
- Assess and provide feedback on student work.
- Offer clear standards for completing tasks
- Certification and filing of student progress
- Supervision of class preparation.
- Review of potential students, instructors and laboratories
- Provide central staff and infrastructure for students, instructors and laboratories.
- Fundraising for costs not covered by student tuition
- Manage and report on the finances, results and impacts of the program.
- Advertise the program
- Promoting an environment of respect free of harassment and discrimination
I am a Fab Academy student, responsible for:
- Attend lectures in class and participate in reviews. Develop and document assigned projects to present and demonstrate skills.
- Allow Fab Academy to share my work (with attribution) in the class for purposes consistent with its mission
- Report honestly about my work and appropriately attribute the work of others.
- Working safely
- Leave the work spaces in the same (or better) conditions that I found them
- Participate in the maintenance of my laboratory.
- Make sure my tuition to cover the costs of local and central classes is covered
- Follow locally applicable health and safety guidelines
- Promoting an environment of respect free of harassment and discrimination
