LEARNINGS¶
INKSCAPE¶
Settings adjustments before starting¶
It is good to take some time before starting in the adjustment of parameters.
By default, Inkscape will consider the line that surrounds a frame as an object, with a thickness that exists physically, and, for example, assembling two of these frames side by side willcause the problem that the 2 frames remain separated by the thickness of the line.
To get rid of this, go in the menu EDIT, => Preferences, => Tools, and check surrounding geometric box, instead of visual box.
Then in => Behaviour, => Transformations, uncheck the 2 first options.
This will give you a correct behaviour of Inkscape in the treatment of surrounding lines of the objects, when placing them one next to another.
Take care of the case when using files¶
It took me some iterations before understanding that the images that I wanted to display in my documents where well stored where needed, but the case of the filename was not correct.
And so the images were not displayed at all, without any error code to report the problem.
