About Me

Deisy Marianella Olguin Garcia

Hi, my name is Deisy Olguin Garcia. I am a systems engineer but I currently work as coordinator and teacher of the study program of the Higher Public Institute "Federal Republic of Germany" in the city of Chiclayo. I have worked in the area of database analysis and design in the private sector, specifically in the area of software development for approximately 06 years. As part of my teaching work, what motivates me is to train young students in technical professionals who design, implement and manage scenarios in the use of information technology platform infrastructures. Regarding FABACADEMY, it is an opportunity that will allow me to encourage creativity and innovation in my students and contribute to the benefit of the community.

My origins

I was born in the city of Trujillo which is located in the department of La Libertad - Peru, it is a city located in the north of Peru and is known as the "city of spring" but a year after I was born my parents moved to Lima and This is where I lived my entire single life. When I get married I come to live in Chiclayo. Among the most important tourist places in Trujillo we have the historic center of Trujillo, "Huaca del Sol y La Luna", "El Brujo" Archaeological Complex, citadel of Chan Chan.

Fab Academy Student Agreement

The Fab Academy is responsible for:

Teaching principles and practices of digital fabrication
Arranging lectures, recitations, meetings, and events for the class
Evaluating and providing feedback on student work
Offering clear standards for completing assignments
Certifying and archiving student progress
Supervising class preparation
Reviewing prospective students, instructors, and labs
Providing central staff and infrastructure for students, instructors, and labs
Fund-raising for costs not covered by student tuition
Managing and reporting on the program’s finances, results, and impacts
Publicizing the program
Promoting a respectful environment free of harassment and discrimination

I am a Fab Academy student, responsible for:

Attending class lectures and participating in reviews
Developing and documenting projects assigned to introduce and demonstrate skills
Honestly reporting on my work, and appropriately attributing the work of others
Working safely
Leaving workspaces in the same (or better) condition than I found them
Participating in the upkeep of my lab
Ensuring that my tuition to cover local and central class costs is covered
Following locally applicable health and safety guidance
Promoting a respectful environment free of harassment and discrimination
