Week’s goal:
plan and sketch a potential final project

Coming into the first week, I had a project idea that I wanted to explore further. During the COVID period we used the contactless sanitizer device too often wherever we go. I kept thinking how does this sanitizing device work. So, I did a brief research about the used components. Also, I will need for sure to do deep research about the electrical connections and programming.

Purpose of the device: (what it’ll do?)

Since the using of the traditional sanitizer dispenser is not convenient and uncomfortable. I will make it working automatically. By using the servo-motor and ultrasound sensor.

Who will use it?

Fablab staff and visitors.

Plan

At first, I will make a housing for the sanitizer dispenser but I’m not sure about the dimensions yet; then I’ll work on the circuit. Since I have the Arduino and ultra-sound sensor at hand, I’ll use them to do my project. I need to learn how connect the wires and how to program Arduino.
