17. Applications and implications¶

What will it do?
An automatic gel alcohol dispenser. Given the proximity of the person's hands, detected by the sensor, the dispenser will expel the gel until they are removed. The instructions will be programmed on an electronic card.
Who has done what beforehand?
We find automatic alcohol or gel soap dispensers for sale in the free market.
On the other hand, this type of homemade dispensers are also already being used in different countries. However, working in a digital manufacturing environment, I have not found any precedents.
What is intended in this project is that from the experiences of home manufacturing, it is done based on digital manufacturing.

Practically all the material is available in our digital manufacturing laboratory, with the exception of alcohol gel, which will have to be purchased in the local market.

The necessary tests will be carried out to verify if the dispenser works; if the sensor detects the proximity of the person's hands and if there is communication between the sensor and the motor for the expulsion of the alcohol gel.
