Week10. Molding and casting¶

This week’s assignment was to design a 3D mold, mill & cast parts from it.

I designed a bottle mold using SolidWorks software. By doing so, I started designing a bottle. The following screenshot is showing how I started assigning dimensions to the design.

After assigning dimensions to the bottle, I extruded it.

Then, I designed a bottle mold

After designing in SolidWorks, I saved the design as STL file and export the file for slicing.

The bottle design was ready to be printed using 3D printer
