This week was just an introductory week where we introduced ourselves and we went through the course schedule. we were asked to think about a final project that can cover most of the subjects that will be covered during this five months intensive program.

Lightning detector.

For my final project, I am planning to make a portable lightning detector that can detect lightning strikes within 40km radius. It can give an early warning alert to the user so that precautions can be made. The following is the hand sketch of the detector including the electronic components to be used.
