8. Computer controlled machining¶
This week there are two types of assignments, one group and one individual. Assignment
Individual assignment:¶
Make something big
Extra credit: Don’t use fasteners or glue
Extra credit: Include curved surfaces
For this assignement I choosed to design a table that I could use when I am working. I found this assignement as an opportunity to design that table and also improve my skills in working with 3D designing software especially solidworks.
Before starting design I first skecthed out the design I wanted for the create in three different parts.

it is assembling of all part without using glue
Software setting
I first imported my files as vectors in the Vcarve software, then setted all as appropriate for those I have to pocket and the ones to profile, and added tabs for holding parts during cutting process.
first i have to open vcave software for importing my work

Depth of cut setting ,speed and feeds i have used
3D View of my job showing where the machine will start

The software prompt notification to the user that the tool will cut through the material.
