18. Invention, intellectual property and income¶

This project was born after visiting the spinal unit department of the Niguarda hospital in Milan. For this reason my desire is to, once all three objects have been completed, give them to them in the hope that an ongoing collaboration with patients and staff will start. Once the prototypes are tested and the best version of them is reached, it will be possible to think about creating others, perhaps even with other departments of the hospital.
In the healthcare world, open source is fundamental, because it is not a matter of profit, but of following a philosophy based on inclusivity and accessibility and applying it both in projects and in everyday life.
To decide which license was suitable for my project I used Creative Commons’ website, that through a quiz guides you to the best choice. This is the license of the Healthcare kit:
