My background¶
- I come from a village called Panayamparamba. It is near Kondotty town in Malappuram district of Kerala state, in India.
- From childhood, I am a crazy thinker.
- I think about different problems in my society and throughout the world. And I will write solutions and a business opportunity of that in my diary. Many of them were stupid.
- Many of my concepts involved a working prototype. I believed I’d be able to put those ideas into action once I was financially secure.
- Because I didn’t have any clear knowledge about how to design and make a prototype until three months prior. I assumed that making a prototype would need a lengthy engineering procedure and a large machine setup.
- After I publish my book ‘Fast Calculation and Calendar Trick’ I needed to promote the book. So I decided to create a unique mechanical weekday finding device.
- After I made the device, I hear about the patent, and for applying for the Patent I need some 3d designs of my device. I approached many people and at last, I knew about Fab lab Kochi.
- Then I visited Fab lab Kochi. Then Lab technician Jogin Francis told me about Fab academy. It was a beautiful coincidence I was waiting.
FAST CALCULATION AND CALENDAR TRICK¶
How did I publish a book about fast calculation and memory techniques in my 18th age?
- I had a habit of writing techniques of fast mathematical calculations.
- After my higher secondary, I attended a lot of competitive entrance examinations, then I realized the importance of fast calculations and memory skills in competitive examinations.
- During the vacation I completed the writing and DTP of the book myself
- I completed the editing and reviewing of the book by a renowned mathematics professor in my district.
- After publish, I sold the books at schools, entrance coaching centres, streets etc.
Mechanical weekday finding device¶
It is a fully mechanical device to find the day of the week of a date for billions of years.
This device includes 24 different gears( spur gears, internal gears, incomplete tooth gears and compound gears). And this device includes a gear shifting mechanism.
How did I invent and made a prototype of the mechanical weekday finding device?
- The desire to make a mechanical weekday finding device arose from my book 'FAST CALCULATION AND CALENDER TRICK'
- Then I began to think about my desire and I crossed each barriers in each days, at last a perfect Idea formed in my mind.
- Making a prototype of the device was my next goal. I attempted to create the different gears of this apparatus out of thermocol, wood, and cardboard, but each time I failed.
- After doing some investigations, I learned about gear generating and designing softwares, as well as CNC cutting centres.
- After considerable effort, I was able to create a working prototype of the device.
- I have successfully finished the patent search at the KSCSTE Trivandrum.
My education¶
After my higher secondary, I joined in Cochin University for B-tech in mechanical engineering but I dropped out the degree after one year, And I started self learning about programming, science and skills.
System of education in Fab academy¶
I like the learning process of the Fab academy. The learning with practical skill will help me to dive into more deep about each topic.
Some plans after Fabacademy¶
- Develop some mechanical/electronics included equipment for make learning easier for students (eg. an puzzle equipment for learning multiplication table)
- Develop or become a part of a self learning skill development educational system.
