About me¶
Hi! I am Suresh Kumar. I am a faculty member of Computer System Engineering Department at Sukkur IBA University, Pakistan.

My background¶
I was born in Pakistan and all my education, except PhD, is from Pakistan. I did my undergrad in Electronics Engineering from MUET, Pakistan and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from GCU, Pakistan. I’m working as a faculty member at Sukkur IBA University, Pakistan since 2012. I went to Abersystwyth University for PhD in Intelligent robotics in 2015 and successfully completed my PhD in 2019.
Previous work¶
Most of the time I envolve myself in teaching electronics to my students. I offer final year projects related to electronics to final year undergrad students. Here are a few projects I was involved with;
Project A¶
Smart Over-Under Voltage and Over current protection System
Basically in this project we develop two devices, we call them primary and secondary. You can have more than one secondary but atleast one primary. The primary device monitors the main input AC voltage supply and turns off any secondary device if the voltages are not within the limits of the device as specified the user. Thus, indivual laods may go off at different voltage levels rather than all going off at a particular level.
Project B¶
Smart Energy Conservation System
This is very much related to the project A. In this primary device monitors the power consumption of all the loads collectively and turns off any unneccesary devices, set up by the user as secondary devices, when power consumption goes beyond the limits set by the user.
Project C¶
SIBAU Robotic Platform for Eduction
In this project we basically designed a small mobile robot that contains multiple senosrs and two motors as actuators. The robot is quite simple and easy to use and program. And the purpose was to use this robot for teaching robotics module(s).
Project D¶
Autonomomous navigation, obstacle avoidance and localisation using ultrasonic sensors in NAO robot
In this project we used ultasonics sensors of the NAO robot in order to detect and locate the obstacles and navigate autonomously.
¶
In 3 out of 4 projects we designed PCBs and had 3-D prints parts for the projects. I want to develop these projects further and make them compact and easy to use. For this purpose, I’m here to learn more.
