About me¶
Hi, I’m Setyawan Bekti Wibowo. I am preparing a Fab Lab in Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia and will be the manager there. The Fablab is planned to be built to support the JOICE (Jogakarta Open Innovation for Community Enhancement) program.

My background¶
I currently live in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. I work as a lecturer at the Mechanical Engineering Vocational College, Universitas Gadjah Mada Indonesia. My educational background is mechanical engineering, especially in industrial product design.
Why Fab Academy¶
My basic education is mechanical engineering, especially in engineering design. The first time I heard and knew about Fablab was when I visited Fablab Setagaya. There is something interesting there, the existence of an ecosystem to create open innovation and connect globally. I think this is something extraordinary how to invite the society around us to be able to innovate to create solutions for their problems. Incidentally, there is a program from JICA to initiate Fablab in Yogyakarta (UGM), I am interested in joining and currently (2022) is a Fabacademy student at Fablab Kamakura.
