19. Invention, intellectual property and income¶
This week I developed a dissemination plan for my final project and prepared a draft summary slide and video clip.
Invention¶
I have designed and created a system to protect people from harmful levels of UV radiation. The system is called “Anti UV Flower Pergola” and consists of a pergola or modular roof that has fixed parts that contain a UV radiation sensor and other mobile parts made of anti-UV fabric that respond to the sensor and that, through servomotors, open to prevent the passage of UV rays, thus protecting the people who live in the spaces where the system is installed.
Intellectual Property¶
Since there is no other system like this and it has been designed and created by me within the academic space of the Fab Academy 2022, I have decided to use a Creative Commons licence.
Creative Commons is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting access to and sharing of culture. It develops a set of free legal tools that facilitate the use and sharing of both creativity and knowledge. It is located in Mountain View, California, USA.
To create the licence, you must enter the official Creative Commons website and once inside, go to “Share your work”.
After clicking on the “Get Started” button, you must choose the characteristic of the licence on the left-hand side and the graphic form of the licence will be displayed on the right-hand side.
Finally it will allow you to use a normal or compact logo and copy the code to let the users know the type of licence granted.

Income¶
After obtaining a validation within the Fab Academy in the final presentation of the project, a presentation will be made within the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the National University of San Agustin where I teach. In addition, due to my recent recognition by the state of my country as a RENACYT Researcher, which allows me to access funds from the National Council for Science, Technology and Technological Innovation and the university itself, the proposal will be adapted to be installed in the courtyards of the Arequipa houses that are part of the Cultural Heritage of Humanity, which was the initial objective. With this, the achievements will be presented at international congresses where proceedings will be presented in order to ultimately seek to obtain Patents.
