Week 18
Project Development
- Complete your final project, tracking your progress: , and
- What tasks have been completed?
- What tasks remain?
- What's working? What's not?
- What questions need to be resolved?
- What will happen when?
- What have you learned?
At this week I have made completed the CAD of the whole project on SolidWorks including the moving mechanism, the back board that will hold the whole project. I'm also done with the master and slave boards that will control the motors and limit switches.
As shown in the following photo, the mechanism I designed for the DC motor to rotate the plate was designed to be 3D printed.

After that I worked on printing all the parts needed to be printed and also cut the board by the router machine. As shown below I had also the front plates to be cut on MDF wood with 2.5 mm thickness.

And this was its shape after assembling some of the mechanisms and before adding the control boards to them.

About the boards I made some iterations that didn't work so well but at the end I wanted to draw the whole connection on a whiteboard to manage what is going where.
