It Me!

Hi! I am Cori Summers. I am a full-time fourth year machining apprentice based in Charlotte, NC. The company I work for makes machines and parts for the cosmetic, consumer healthcare, and pharmaceutical industries. I am also a part-time machining instructor for Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC).

The machine you see behind me is Moira, a DMU 75 monoBlock 5 axis CNC. I run, setup, and program the machine along with my manager, and I’ve worked on her since she was installed just under a year ago. Just recently we got another machine in the shop, Harriet, a Haas VF2 2.5 axis CNC machine. She’s in the process of getting set up, then I’ll be working with her as well!
