Hello!¶
I am Katrina Lisnichuk and here I’ll update my main findings, experiences and learnings as it would be a fb or IG feed. It will tell the short-version story of my experience in the fab Academy like short “posts”. If you want to know more in detail about any week please just go for it in the menu.
Week - 01¶
“I promise a Life changing experience, a lot of frustration, a lot of joy and a lot of hard work”
Those were the initial words of Neil Gershelfeld. Swear I’ll remember them!
This 1rst week I’ve learned how to create this page, just the essentials. This made me feel like a real hacker XD
Whe we had our first global online session I felt just amazed, fascinated, I think there is no word to define the excitement of being part of this experience.
So far, all is excitement and joy
Week - 02¶
This week I felt a lot of frustration 
It was very difficult to getting to know so many tools at the same time, but I admit it also was very efficient considering the limited time.
As Neil said, this week #2 is like dating, you need to go outside and getting to know candidates so you can find your match. Following that analogy this week was like an “inmersive tinder” one where I finally got in love with blender!

Week - 03¶
This week was a lot of joy
I felt more capable on CAD tools and also this week I think we had a lot of challenges and it was really satisfying to overcome them, I felt very capable. At the beggining I was kind of afraid of the machines, but now, I feel confident about using it! I am also fascinated about the amount of things that I am capable to learn in a really short period of time. It is supprising and make me feel strongly proud of myself.
So, all I wrote above is the meaning I give to “had a lot of joy”
Week - 04¶
Started with electronics production!! Ir was amazing to discover an entire new world (again). This week I’ve learned to be less afraid of using machines, I think I improved my documentation by taking notes during the process but I still waited until the very last day to update mi site! Any way, I am proud of myself because my circuit didn’t explode! that was a lot of joy too!
Week - 05¶
Thanks God we leave circuits for a week and started with the most traditionally know subject in digital fabrication, the thing others think you’ll do the entire fab academy: 3d printing! It was a productive week, I am happy because this week my design has a lot to do with my final project and I also enjoyed the process of discovering how to use the “famous” 3d printer.
