About me¶
Hi! I am Charlie Horvath, an engineer, entrepreneur, and committed lifelong learner!
Mission Statement¶
Part of my life’s mission is to design, create, and implement novel win-win technology solutions that improve both the human condition and the condition of this planet.
My background in Engineering¶
I was born in Charlotte North Carolina to a loving and supportive family. Although not in STEAM fields themselves, my parents recognized as early as preschool that I had a knack for physical objects, and was perhaps destined for an engineering or STEAM career. They we’re right. I was fortunate to attend a forward-thinking school, Charlotte Latin, that offered engineering coursework as early as 7th grade. And from then on, I was hooked. I went on to attend North Carolina State University to study Mechanical Engineering with a minor in economics. Finally, having not been fully satisfied with my engineering education to date, my parents are once again supporting me through this Fab Academy program, for which I will be forever grateful.
Career pivot to start 2022¶
Here is a quick one-pager I shared with my network near the beginning of 2022 that describes this career pivot from working with SCHUNK to joining Fab Academy.
