2D
There are two types of 2D photoshops. One is vector based program and other is raster based program.

Difference between raster and vector
Raster
Raster graphics are aslo known as Bitmap graphics. The orgin of raster image was based on television as it was used for CRT(Caythod Ray Tube). It is a type of digital image that uses tiny rectangular pixels to represent an image. Raster image are best used for digital photograph or scanned artwork. Raster based program uses pixel to create image and vector based program uses lines and curves to create image. All the images that are clicked from camera are raster.
Raster Format
Raster graphic file format are commonly found in JPEG, PNG, GIF, APNG, BMP and MPEG4
Vector
Vector image was created by Ivan Sutherland in 1963. Vector graphics consists of shapes like circle, rectangle, lines and curves. It is a computer image using a sequence of mathematical statement that place lines or curves in two dimension. Vector image can be resized without the loss of quality of image. So it is mostly used by graphic designers.
Vector Format
Vector graphic file format are commonly found in SVG, WMF, EPS, PDF and CDR.

Gnu Image Manipulation Program(GIMP)
GIMP is a open source raster graphic editor. We can manipulate with image and also change image format. GIMP can run in any platform like windows, linux and GNU.

I am using this softwawre for 1st time. To understand more about GIMP I went throuh youtube tutorial
Exporing on GIMP
To edit a picture on GIMP i clicked on file and new to open a new page. I downloaded a pic of mushroom for my final project logo. I import the picture to edit.
There are tools to edit like paint brush and to add text. There is a text in the image so remove the text i used white colour paint on top the text
I added a name of my mushroom farm on top right side of logo
To resize the picture i clicked on image and than clicked on scale image. A message box will pop-up on which I changed the unit into mm as i mam more comfortable with it.
I export the image in png format
Inkscape
Inkscape is a vector graphic software which runs on most of the operating system like windows and linux. It creates image in vectorwhich is line and curves. It is an open source software.
Here is a link to inkscape tutorial in youtube. click me to view.

Inkscape is a new software to me. I have opened the software to make familar with it. To import image i clicked on file and open a new file. Than i import a picture.
I export the image
Fusion360
Fusion360 is a cloud based modelling and a CAD program software. During our pre-fab session i came to kno about fusion360 and i feel comfortable working on it. So I used Fusion360 to design 3D models.
I have gone through a youtube tutorial to design a car. Its my first design Fusion360.

I designed a vajra for 3D printing. Befor designing a 3D model i had to first sketch on 2D. To design on 2D i clicked on sketch and select the plane on which i wanted to design.
Rough sketch of vajra
First i drew 2d sketch for vajra
after that i revolve the sketch into 360 degree
i create a circular pattern on 2 end of the model.
