Application and Implication
What will it do?
Agriculture serves as the true backbone of Bhutan's economy, contributing 33% of GDP and employing over 69% of the population. The primary goals of agriculture are to raise the income of people living in rural area. So our government are encouraging farmers for mushroom farming. Many farmers have switched to mushroom farming but it requires so much manual work.
So my project will encourage more farmers to do mushroom farming because it requirs very less manual work. and the the quality and quantity of mushroom will increase as the temperature and humidity will be controlled
Who has done what beforehand
Our country is much backward in technology. So the farmers out here who does mushroom farming, they soak the log in water oncce in a week or they let the water flow inside the farm.
What will you design
I found fusion360 very interesting and i love to design everything in fusion360. So i have designed for:-
Subtractive manufactering
PCB Board- For my project i will be designing a PCB board that will sense or read the input device and control the output device according to what i programmed in microcontroller
ShopBot
I have designed whole outer strucutre of my project in fusion360 to cut in shopbot
Laser Cutter
To use in laser cutter i have designed a railing to support a bowl for my fountain
Additive manufactering
3D printer
For 3D printing i have designed a case for DHT11, case for my final project board, case for relay, case for oled and pipes, connector and water sprinkers for fountain

What materials and components will be used
1. 18mm board for my outer structure
2. DHT11(humidity and temperature sensor)
3. DC pump
4. Bulb
5. wire
6. Humidifier
Where will it come from
Most of the components are bought from india by our instructor. Electronic components to design PCB board were available in lab
How much will it cost?
What parts and systems will be made?
Almost every part of my project needs to be fabricated
So i made:
1. Microcontroller board of ESP332-WROOM
2. Interfacing input device and output device with microcontroller
3. making of strucutre
What process will be used
1. For the outer structure of my project i will be using ShopBot to cut the design
2. Fabricating of my controller board i will be using milling machine(SRM-20)
3. Wiring and soldering of components for making circuit
4. For making fountain i have used 3D printer to print the pipes, pipe connector and water sprinker
5. For making a logo of my project i will used vinyl cutter
What questions need to be answered?
Q1. Whats is your motivation to choose this project?
Ans- The main movitation for me to choose this project is to swich bhutan into modern farming from traditional farming
Q2. How your project will work in daily life
Ans- This project can be applied in agricultural sector. We can grow more product in limited space.
Q3. What are the future scope for your project?
Ans- There are lots of future scope because it requires less human effort. Even the highlander can grow mushroom and other vegetables as they are purely dependent on non-veg
How will it be evauated?
My project shold incorporate with 2D and 3D design.
There should be additive and subtractive manufactering process, Electronic design and production, Embedded microcontroller interfacing and programming, system integration and packaging
The project should function properly. make the parts rather than purchasing. The cost should be minimum and afordable
The buld(as a heater) should be on when temperature is less and fountain(as a humidifier) shold be on when humidity is less.
