Boomerangs

With the short days of winter here, the early sunset time was shortening my boomerang throwing time. Solution: LED Boomerang

I found a boomerang design online as a jpeg, then used Inkscape to trace the outline of it. I set up two layers - one for cutting the outline of the boomerang and another to etch the outline of the airfoil. I then used used a belt sander clamped to a bench to make the airfoils.

In the future I’d like to make a 3d model of the boomerang and airfoils and cut the whole thing with a cnc router. Perhaps I could use the lofting option on 3-d software to make the model.
