Individual assignment: cut something on the vinyl cutter: design, laser cut, and document a parametric construction kit, accounting for the laser cutter kerf, which can be assembled in multiple ways and for extra credit include elements that aren’t flat. Group assignment: characterize your laser cutter’s focus, power, speed, rate, kerf, joint clearance and types
Computer - aided design
This week assignment: model (raster, vector, 2D, 3D, render, animate, simulate, …) a possible final project, compress your images and videos, and post it on your class page
Project Management
For me it was a bit of a delayed start of the first official fab week, had a great work project that kept me busy till saturday but catching up as we speak. Lucky for me we managed to get through a lot of the basics during Bootcamp week. The assignment of this week is to plan and sketch a potential final project plus build a personal site in the class archive describing you and your final project.
