Should be able to select the faces if you can't then you have saved it as the wrong file
Setting up Free CAD
In the drop down that says 'start' we need it to say 'path'
Select path in main tool bar
Select job
Under 'models' make sure the model is selected
Add template = none
Should come up in the bar on the left had side
Setting up Job
Double-click 'job'
Go to setup
Layout --> stock (your material)
Setup tab
Dropdown box
Make sure the drop down box is 'extended models bound box'
Ext. X , Y , Z ? Can place the material dimensions but best to make
Z = 0 mm and the X and Y = 1 mm
Tools tab
'add'
'New tool'
Adding parameters - D and H
Go to ooznest website to find all the correct dimensions for your milling bit you will use
Name the part - this then saves it but only to your computer
Change the material of your piece 'carbide'
Press 'ok'
Tick the bit then press 'create tool controller'
Operations
(this is the action of the cutting)
Names
Facing = surfacing that off to make it level
Contour = cutting out the actual shape or edges / takes the whole object and cuts it out
Pocket = cutting out wholes in the middle of the shape
Profile = taking that one face you are wanting to cut out
Edge = selecting the edges of the object to cut rather then the whole thing
Operations tab
Choose the operations in the correct order you want to mill them
The operations are at the top of the screen
'Tool controller'
Direction 'CW' = clockwise or 'CCW' = counter clockwise
'Extra offset' = 0 (moving where the piece would start)
Depths
This only comes up if you are choosing the face rather than the whole piece
'Start depth' = where you want it to start cutting
'Final depth' = how far you want to go - if you are cutting out all the material it will be 0 mm
'Step down' = (press the little blue button to change the step down) at the max of tool diameter
Height
'Safe height' = (top height to not crash into other refuse you have already cut) - not sure yet ?
'Clearance height' = (like the jog height - a safe distance to not hit anything eg clamps)
Adding dog bones
(Milling bits are round not square so therefor you need to add extra wholes so you can get items to slot together)
Contour needs to be selected
To go path --> path dress up --> doggone dress up
Add a tab for you
Adding tags
(tags hold the piece in place when cutting to prevent it from flying out)
Clocked on contour --> go to path at the top bar --> path dress up --> tag dress up
Showed by a triangle on the material
Can change the width height angles and radius
Then press 'ok' to save them
'Number of tags' add a number and then click 'replace all'
Press 'apply' and then 'ok'
It will do the contour and the tags at the same time
Preview
Press the drill bit with the magnifying glass
Showing you the milling bit
Show you the stock
When press 'play' to see the path
Exporting it
Select operations
Then go to file --> export --> change file type to Gcode

Starting up the Workbee
Sending over to workbee
Machine needs to be switched on
Workable.local/ - only two laptops can connect at a time
Make sure the router is unplugged
Home both the X and the Y by pressing the button
X axis minus = left / positive = right
Y axis
Changing the milling bit
Make sure it is unplugged
Use the button to hold the nut in place and use the spanner to loosen the bit and then unscrew it.
Three parts - the nut, collie and the bit
Place bits all to gather and place into the machine
Setting the Z axis
You want to set it to the sacrificial bed
Turn the router on so that then you are cutting into the bed and not hitting it
Turn on from the plug not form the machine so that the doors are closed and the bit is safe inside the framing just in case you have put the bit in wrong
Bring it down slowly just so it grazes the board
'Set Z' button
Clamp piece down
Move X and Y axis so they are in the correct position where you want to cut
'Set X' and 'set Y' this is now your new origin
Cutting
Plug router in
Cutting air first
'Upload and start' it will start straight away MAKE SURE ROUTER IS SWITCHED ON!
Watch at all times!
Know where the emergency button is!
Extra Information

Rapid motion = tool is moving but not cutting
Controlled motion = tool is moving while cutting
If something is greyed out you need to select it and press 'spacebar'
Spindle speed = is being controlled by you changing the speed on the machine not free CAD
Feedrate = is control by free CAD
Speed
So many variables it is best to google it
You need to be aware
A large diameter tool bit is the best to start with for the ruffing parts then move to the smaller tool bit to do the more refined details
