Computer Controlled Cutting

On this week we are testing the laser cutters we have in the lab.

First off, we have the Full Spectrum laser.
Pros: : The machine can cut through different materials. The max height is 4 mm for wood and 6 mm for cardboard. It engraves nicely.
Cons: It cuts slow in comparison with the metaquip because of this there are burn marks on the backside. I solved this problem by putting a piece of paper under the wood.

Second, there is the Metaquip
This laser cutter has a large work surface 600mm x 1000 mm. it can cut through thicker materials, the thickest we tried is 8 mm plywood poplar. It also cut’s very fast. This machines works with lightburn

Finally, we have the FluxBeamo This machine is very small and easy to carry. Since we give a lot of workshops on location it is a useful feature of the machine. It engraves very well. The machine works with beam studio.
