1. Principles and practices

This week I worked on defining my final project idea.

For my final prject I chose to make an electric bike.

For that, I will take apart an old bike and use its’ wheels, pedaling system, and braking system for the new bike. The body of the bike will be CNC cutted from plywood (or if I have enough time, I will make it from composite materials). I will buy the motor of the bike which will most likely be a brushless DC 48V 1000W motor. Then, I will make the battery for the motor from 18650 Lithium ion battery cells. I consider making a case for the batteries using a 3D printer. The e-bike will have some sort of a light system too, that will automatically turn on during braking.
