In the process of starting my own activity as an independent worker, I remain open to work as a full-time or part-time employee as well.

Positions and missions I am interested in :

  • Fabmanager or Facilitator in a Fablab / Makerspace / Incubator.
  • Providing training in the field of 3D conception and 3D printing (Fusion - Autodesk Certified Professional).
  • Contributing to the development of a circular economy for a local community (city, territory or region) with initiatives such as the ones proposed by the FabCity movement.
  • Creating and fabricating material / content for exhibitions (museum, schools, events, etc).
  • Creating and fabricating games for event companies.
  • Designing and fabricating pieces of furniture / ornaments.
  • Joining a R&D team in a company developing new machines for digital fabrication.

With the complete set of skills and interests presented hereunder, this is a large range of needs and challenges that I can address :

  • Creating 2D and 3D designs
  • Working with laser cutters, CNC machines, 3D printers, vinyl cutters, embroidery machines.
  • Designing electronics PCB.
  • Generating computer programs.
  • Producing manual wood work.

As you may understand from those few lines, I am in measure to **provide training, guide project development, and deliver turn-key projects involving rapid prototyping.”“

Curriculum

My studies in engineering took me first to Marseille (France) at Ecole Centrale Marseille for a couple of years and then to Stockholm (Sweden) where I had the chance to complete a double degree in aeronautics at KTH and meet a lot of international students.

Between 2014 and 2021 I have worked in Paris as a system engineer in the aeronautics and automotive industries respectively for Dassault Aviation and Faurecia Clarion Electronics companies. In 2021, I decided to enroll in the FabAcademy program within the Fablab Digiscope of Paris Saclay University, which turned out to be 5-months of really intensive work but I am so grateful and enthusiastic about all that I have learnt about digital fabrication. This course has clearly changed my perspectives, and I am definitely sure that I want to continue exploring this field of technology, not only as a hobby but also as a profession.

  • 2010-2012 : General Engineering diploma at Ecole Centrale Marseille (France).
  • 2012-2014 : Masters Degree in aeronautics at the Royal Institute of Technology - KTH (Sweden).
  • 2014-2017 : System engineer at Dassault Aviation working on the predecessor of Falcon 6X business jet - Paris (France)
  • 2018-2021 : Validation Technical Leader at Faurecia Clarion Electronics working on infotainment systems for McLaren vehicles - Paris (France)
  • 2021 : FabAcademy student learning about digital fabrication - Paris (France)
  • 2022 : Divemaster - Mallorca (Spain)
  • 2023 : Facilitator at the Benny Fab, at Benny Library - Montreal (Canada)

Hobbies

Since my very young age I have always spent a lot of my free-time doing sports. As many young boys I have started playing soccer for a few years, but I rapidly abandonned to dedicate fully to gymnastics that I have practised intensively until high-school. When starting university, I moved to another city and progressively started to spend more time exploring other sports such as volley-ball, tennis, badminton, squash and paddel tennis which I continue playing presently.

Also I love adventure and outdoors activities and I am always excited going hiking, snowboarding, doing cross-country skiing, surfing, kite-surfing and scuba-diving depending whether I find myself in the mountains or nearby the sea. By the way, I obtained my DiveMaster certificate in 2022 after completing a 2-month scuba diving training in Mallorca.

When I am not out in the nature, I love playing board games or cards with my friends; among my favourites I can list “7 Wonders”, “Carcassonne”, “Catan”, although there are a lot more !

Generally speaking, I am very curious to understand how science and systems work. I am an hands-on sort of guy who like to spend time fixing things (mainly bikes, and other electronic devices such as computers, cameras, etc), and making handicrafts such as simple wooden furniture.

Community Life

  • 2024 - “L’Atelier Soudé” (Lyon): Volunteering in the electronics co-repairing activities (repair coffee).
  • 2024 - “La BriCC” (Villeurbanne): Volunteering in participatory projects around wood work.

Travels

Travelling has played a significant role in my life so far. Starting young with my family for one-week holidays around Europe, I have continued exploring the world and have had the chance to set foot on all continents. I am not a big fan of cities, but I am rather looking for natural and remote places. This for example led me to go for several weeks to Iceland, Kyrgyztan, New-Zealand, French Polynesia, Ecuador (with a 4-days stay in a little village in the Amazon Rainforest). I like taking my time exploring and don’t want to rush for only seeing the countries’ main attractions. More recently, after completing the FabAcademy program in mid-2021 I have enjoyed the Covid Pandemic period to escape for a 6-month adventure in Mexico and Colombia. Then I embarked on a North American experience with a first stay of 6 months in Montreal, punctuated by a 10-month road-trip across Canada and western USA.

What I like in travelling is discovering new places, but also new cultures by interacting with the local communities and other travellers. I have a strong interest for languages and speak fluent french, english, spanish and a bit of swedish. Travelling also allows me to indulge in landscape photography which is another hobby for me.

Being aware of environmental concerns, I will now tend to limit my travels by plane and extend my stays, which I hope will permit me to contribute to local projects benifiting to communities.

Enrollment in Fab Academy 2021

For several years I have been attracted by digital fabrication and my participation in 2021 Fab Academy program can just be seen as the realization of something I had been expecting for a long time. Over the past few years I had the opportunity to work on small Arduino projects but I did not manage to allocate enough of my free time to really make something out of it. Fab Academy was thus a way for me to dedicate fully, with all the necessary environment, to developing strong skills in digital fabrication.

As you can read in my curriculum, until 2021 I had only worked on projects that require several years of development and involving hundreds of persons. I was thus looking forward to getting closer to final products with relatively short time of developments and for which I can have a significant contribution.

The main objective for me was both to be able to achieve personal projects, but also to widen the scope of activities and sectors I can address (ex: health, education, various projects with social and environmental positive impacts, etc). The idea of using digital fabrication to encourage cooperation and creativity with the aim of improving our society in a sustainable way, is for me a particular source of motivation. Working together with other international students and staff members from multiple backgrounds but sharing common goals was really stimulating.
