  • Observe the problems.

  • Made a survey of availble solutions in the market.

  • Objectives and need of project.

  • End customer.

  • Introduced the final project.

  • Sketch the idea of final project.

    Week 1 : -

This week was quite interesting. We all were new for everything like , template selection, website developing tools ...etc for creating and modifying the website. In this week we have tried different codes in the base edditor tool like Notepad++ , Bracket , ....etc to write the things on webpage. At the end of the week, not every but we are aware of some tools of designing the website. Some changes are yet to do but I will modify it in the journey. In this week I also have draw and elaborated the idea of my final project. In this week I have also read the Fab charter. So that to know about Fab lab.

    Fab Charter : -

I have read ' Fab charter '. It includeds all information about ' Fab lab ' and its network all over the world. Also, it gives the introduction of fab lab technologies and the most important is about our responsibilities. Click here to open the link .

    Final project work

    Observation : -

  • To prepare a feed for cattle we need to cut the dray-matter.

  • Vigyan Ashram is situated in a rural area where we face power cut off issue.

  • Shredding /cutting of grass require around 10 units of energy per day which charges Rs. 100 per day as per MSEB (Maharashtra State Electrical Board).

  • So, if we switch our shredder on the solar energy which is available for 6 hours in a day, then these charges will get saved.

    Problem Identification : -

Brown matter or grass needs to be cut for preparing feed for cattle. Also it will be beneficial for making Silage . (Link of Murghas) Click for " Murghas " in Marathi . And it require continuous power supply while shredding but due to power cut-off issue system is get stop. In Vigyan Ashram we conduct various research related works, composter is one of them. Composter is a machine in which we prepare compost. Compost is decomposed organic material, such as leaves, grass clippings, and kitchen waste. It provides many essential nutrients for plant growth and therefore is often used as fertilizer. Compost also improves soil structure so that soil can easily hold the correct amount of moisture, nutrients and air. To prepare compost we need to cut these organic materials this shredder will play an important role.

Available solutions in the market : -

A shredder is a machine that reduces the size of, and tears up, many different kinds of materials. From paper shredders to scrap metal shredders, they are used in many different industries and have much different design. Based on the purpose of use, shredders can be categorized as consumer shredders and industrial shredders.

    1) Consumer Shredders : -

Paper shredder normally falls into the category of consumer shredder as it is mostly used by consumers.

    2) Industrial Shredders : -

Industrial shredders are typically heavy-duty and high volume systems used to process such recycling material streams as e-waste, plastic, wood, and paper. There is no common use of an industrial shredder as they can shred paper as well as wood, plastic, metal including a whole car depending on the size and design of the industrial shredder. It can be also use for shredding waste materials such as municipal solid waste or nuclear waste, medical waste, hazardous waste including common garbage. In the market different shredders/ pulverizer with different capacities are available which are use to perform different operations such as, Link

    Needs of project : -

  • By using DC power supply for "Shredder", the continuous power supply will be available for a minimum of 6 hr in a day. So no need to depend upon the grid supply.

  • It can be used for making feed for animals.

  • It can be used also for making raw material for culture media for the composter.

Introduction of the project : -

The ruler part of India are mostly depends upon the Agriculture base earning. Cattle require for the agricultural work needs fodder (animal feed) regularly. Most of the time this feed is available in the form of dry matter. We feed the dry matter to cattle in the form of small cutting peace. To cut the material we require a cutting machine. In short we need a Shredder. The shredders available in the market operate on the AC power supply. Many time the ruler areas of India faces the problem of power cut - off . To deal with this issue I have to design this machine to operate with solar power. In Vigyan Ashram we have 2 cows & 12 goats. Approximately they need about 100 kg of feed daily. So the shredder will cut the dry matter for making feed for them. This machine requires a continuous power supply. If it runs with AC it will charge more. So, after discussing with Yogesh Kulkarni sir, Suhas sir, & Aditi it had been decided that to design a DC automatic shredder. DC appliance are more energy-efficient than AC appliance. Also, speed control is more effective with DC than AC. In Ashram we have developed technology of composter for making composed material out of kitchen waste. It requires a culture for making compost . Now, we are looking forward of making culture by directly spraying human urine on dry matter. So, to cut the dry matter we will require the shredder. Vigyan Ashram is in Pabal which is a village situated around 60km away from the city. There are many problems here, especially problem-related to energy cut-off. So, if we run the shredder on DC( solar energy ) we need not depend upon grid power supply.

    End customer : -

At the primary stage, this product will be used in Ashram. Because our ashram is a research-based organization. Here we study the things related to ' Agriculture and animal husbandry '. So, this machine will help there and also I can get the feedback for modifications. But, this machine is an useful product for Farmeres. Especially in the ruler area. Where they face many issues. This solution will come from the ruler area for the ruler people.

Final Project Sketch and description : -

In the sketch I have roughly drawn the idea of my sketch. Where the whole system will operate through solar panel. To give the continous and to avoid any damage of the system because of fluctuations in the power supply it will be connected to the charge-controller. It will drive the hopper and cutting section motor. The hopper is provided in which we will put the material to be shred. Further the shredded material get collected in the collector tank.

I have used the "free css.com" website for downloading a free template. Where I have downloaded ' Imperial free website template and started editing for making my website. For Home page. And "Item Name Documentation by Author Name.

    W3School :-

I have used w3school online web tutorials as I am new for operating Html, CSS,...etc languages & there commands. Check W3School

Week1-3

    Text editor ( Bracket , Notpad++ ) :-

A text editor is program that allows you to open, view, and edit plain text files. Unlike word processors, text editors do not add formatting to text, instead focusing on editing functions for plain text.Text editors are used by a wide variety of people, for a wide variety of purposes. Software programmers and web developers use text editors to write and edit in programming and markup languages. This is one of the primary purposes of text editors, and many of the features of text editing software are built to help these users read and write code. However, text editors are ideal tools for anyone who needs to write quickly and simply, read source code, or create text files.

Week1-3

I have use Bracket & Notepad++ for text editing. In which I feel more comfortable with Bracket as it has more easy access. Also, all index, CSS, Html, style files are visible on the left-hand side of the window which makes easy access to any file we want.

Week1-4

    List of commands :-

I have used these commands for editing text in my website.

In text editor to do the require changes like to add paragraph, heading, spacing we have use following commands. First thing that we have to keep in mind is that different html page have there different cods for editing. For making changes in my page I have use following commands.

  • To add paragraph use ( ' < p > < / p > ' ) this command.

  • Week1-8

  • For heading use ( ' < h1> < / h1> ' , ' < h2> < / h2> ' , ' < h3> < / h3> ' , ' < h4> < / h4> ' ) commands . Here " < h1> " has the highest

font and it goes on decreasing up to " < h4> " .

  • In the image below, we can see the application of different commands in the " website designing tool " .

Week1-8

  • Also, to make bold letter to highlight the important text we have to use “ < b> Text to bold < / b> ” this command

  • To add spacing in the text we have to use “ < br> ” command this command will break the text.

  • For creating files especially design files we need to create a folder in our operating system and have to add the files in that folder. To give downloadable link I have used

  • < div class = " container text-center " >
    < a class = " portfolio-item " style = " background-image : url(img/portfolio-8.jpg); " href = " url / address of the website " >
    < h2 >< u > text we want to display on the page ex. ‘ Download file ’ < / u >< / h2 >
    < / a >< / div >

Week1-8

    Image Resizer :-

I have used "light Image Resizer" which is an application for resizing the image according to our requirment. By using this application we can reduce image so that to maitain the alignment of my screenshots and images in the mobile of work we done during each week. It express our work in the better way.

Week1-8

    Screen Shots :-

I have used "lightshot" for taking screenshots of my work for making it more explanatory. It will create some reference to our work during documentation. Lightshot

Week1-8

As shown in the image below we can select the portion of screen which we want to high-light for the explaination.

Week1-8

    My first website page:-

By using the above tools I have design my website. But before pushing this wbsite to the class archive I come to know that, the size of this template big which ultimately it will increases my repo size. So I need to change this template. At the starting it is important to check the folder of the template. Because we have some limited space for pushing the data to class archive.

First I have use 'Imperial Free Website Template - Free-CSS.com (1)' this template for my first push.

Week1-9

    My second website page :-

Week1-9

    Version Control Tools:-

The name itself describes the function that it will help to manage the different versions of websites, projects,..etc. And also will add changes made in different versions. Version control is a system that records changes to a file or set of files over time so that you can recall specific versions later. We will use software source code as the files being version controlled, though in reality we can do this with nearly any type of file on a computer. It allows you to revert selected files back to a previous state, revert the entire project back to a previous state,

    Git :-

I got some information about git from web browser. Git is free & open source distrbuted version control system designed to handle everything from large to very small project with speed & efficiency.

    Steps for creating account on " Git-cloud " : -

    Git bash: -

First download "Git bash" in the operating system. Git bash.

Week1-16

    Git bash window :-

After downloading when we open git bash the window given below will get open on the screen. We use git bash for uploading the changes we made in the document or website on cloud. For that we need to generate the key for making the right for the access. When we generate the key no one else can operate our website. We need not to use this key again and again as it creat the access with git cloud and our operating system. For this course of 'Fab academey' I am using the laptop of "Suhas Labade", who is our " Remote instructor " through out the course. Therefore the window shows the folder path as Suhas@DESKTOP-SLA32DF in green colour.

Week1-11

Week1-12

Commands to access the git account :-

To conform my identification with git account I have use these two commands. It will check whethere I had the rights of accessing this account .

Week1-13

Week1-14

    Commands for ' Git push ' :-

For pushing the data to our repo on Git cloud we have to follow the steps given below.

  • Go to the home folder in my case it is ' tejswini-chaudhari '.

  • 'git pull' : - To pull the data on the cloud. It is important to add all the changes that may have done by the Authority.

  • 'git add --all' : - This command is to add all the changes in our repo. Here before adding all changes we need to check the size of the home folder.

  • 'git commit -m"message" : - Here we are conforming the changes that we have maid. Also, we need to add some message.

  • 'git push' : - This is the command to push all the changes on the cloud.

Week1-14

    Error : -

Here as shown in the image below the error came because, my main index page was get deleted by me. And hence is was not showing any information on my website. So, I have added the index page again in my local folder. Since I have the backup of my repo with me.

Week1-14

    Project planning :-

There are many tools to design the project plan like Gantt-chart, PERT, Bar digram, Pie chart,...etc. But I have choose the Gantt-chart for preparing my project plan.

    Gantt Chart :-

To prepair gantt chart for my project I have use 'GanttProject-2.8' software . Basically, the Gantt Chart is prepared for illustrating a project schedule. I have designed a Gantt chart for planning my project task for 6 months.

Steps for creating 'Gantt chart' : -

  • First I have downloaded 'GanttProject-2.8' software and have install it to my operating system. GanttProject-2.8

  • Then I have open it and first I have prepaired the list of task I have to perform during this 6 months related to my project.

  • Simultaneouslly, I have allocate the dates to the task define.

Week1-14a

  • If we follow the steps in the above image we can get the result as shown below.

Week1-15

    Downloads : -

    Learning outcomes : -

  • In this week we have learn about website template selection .

  • We have also learnt about website development tools to edit the changes.

  • We have idealize the project idea and have finalize the project. Also have study the need of project .

  • We get know about the ‘Git bash’ and ‘Git hub’, this tools are good for storing our project. We can also make the changes and can upload it. If we want the previous changes of the website back we can clone the previous changes by cloning the website.
