Invention, Intellectual Property, and Income¶
Dissemination¶
I plan to release my Final Project both here, in the Fab Academy documentation, as well as on github or similar open source sharing platform, as wel as on thingiverse or other 3d model sharing platforms, linking back to each other.
I see my final project as a great opportunity to learn about electronics and programming, as well as the other FabLab-able means of fabrication, in the production of a project that interests me. I know similar projects exist and even commercially available solutions are abundant, to a degree. But I have never done anything like that, and I feel I have a lot to learn from them.
That said, I have little illusion that I can master all that needs to be learned in order to complete this task. In that sense, I know I will stand on the shoulders of much more knowledgeable people than me, hoping to learn from them, as well as all the ones closely helping me along.
Many of the projects that have inspired me are open-source, which means I can peek in and even try to adapt what I can in order for my project to be successful, or get close trying. So, in conclusion, I will license my project with all the attributions, of course, as an MIT license.
I find I have no interest in limiting the development or use of whatever I manage to achieve, in further development, commercially or otherwise. The MIT license is simple and permissive, and protects me from liability.

2022 Presentation Video¶
I presented this video to Neil in 2022, but the electronics wasn’t working. Emotional Damage. But he liked the project, and I finally finished it in 2024. Final slide and video are in the final project page.
Assignment¶
- develop a plan for dissemination of your final project
- prepare drafts of your summary slide (presentation.png, 1920x1080)
- video clip (presentation.mp4, 1080p HTML5, < ~minute, < ~10 MB)
