Assignment 18

Project Development

Complete your final project, tracking your progress: what tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain? what's working? what's not? what questions need to be resolved? what will happen when? what have you learned? Project management: triage documentation during development demand- vs supply-side time management spiral development, DevOps serial vs parallel tasks system integration finish quality

My work plan was to advance with the assignmnets and always with the objective of contributing to the final project, that is why the first assignmets do not see the progress in the end and as I advanced, I was making the assignmnets and the final project at the same time. I practically worked in assignments on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays and in the final project on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, as long as my job as coordinator at the University allowed me to.

I was working on parts of the assignmnets but here I present the parts that make up the final project that I was working on in isolation to later put it all together

laser cutting of the pieces that join the two octagonal wheels of the project

3D printing of the assembly element of the interior panels

CNC cutting of the main octagonal wheels

interior panel assemblies using the 3D printed parts and octagonal wheels cut on the CNC Router

Mounting and turning test of the assembled wheel on the support base.

Spray painted and finished all Prize Wheel pieces.

The lathe had to be used for metal work on the toothed pulley since the axis of our machine did not fit due to its 1/2" diameter.

Thermoforming of the piece that indicates the prize won in one of the spaces of the wheel

Laser cut and folded acrylic to form the ball container

Test of the phototransistor sensor to check the distance and that the material of the ball was suitable to activate the sensor

Preliminary assembly of the final project to test the distance of the sensor and spin of the wheel
