What will it do?
I am going to make an interactive children's game to be used in children's parties, where the child will have the opportunity to win a prize (gift) if he manages to score a ball in a maximum of three attempts, which will stop the spinning of the wheel of prizes and you will win the prize pointed by the arrow.
Who's done what beforehand?
There are several games of chance at the fairs where children interact and can get a prize if they achieve the goal. The innovation of this game is that the child must hit and he gets the prize where the wheel stops, that is, he cannot choose the prize that he gets, it is random
What will you design?
I am going to design the whole game, the prize wheel to count the gifts, the basket to shoot the ball catcher, the arrow that points to the prize and the base that supports the prize wheel
What materials and components will be used?
Mdf boards, plywood sheets, cut and folded acrylic, 3D printing with PLA plastic, ultrasonic sensor, a servomotor, pololu, phototransistor and led, pulleys and toothed belts and spray paints will be used for the finishing of the parts.
Where will come from?
Carpentry, FabLAB Stock, cnc parts electronics store, Sterenshop, amazon, comex paints
How much will they cost?
It is estimated that for all the material, electronic components and finishing the cost is in the range of $100 to $150 US dollars.
What parts and systems will be made?
The prize wheel, the base, the divisions, the lateral supports, the ball container, the ultrasonic sensor casing, the basket to shoot baskets, the axis with its divisions, the pcb cards with the electronic programming will be manufactured.
What processes will be used?
CNC router
Laser cut for some part of the prize wheel
3D printing for the basket and dividers
Acrylic bender
Vinyl cutting
Embedded Programming
input and output device
What questions need to be answered?
How will it be evaluated?
It will be evaluated when the child is positioned in front of the wheel, the ultrasonic sensor detects it so that it begins to rotate and once the child has scored one of the balls it falls into the container of the photo-transistor sensor, it will cause the wheel to stop rotating and the prize will be the one that is closest to the point where the arrow type element indicates
Due to my work as a coordinator and teachers at the University, I was able to advance more in the vacation period where I finished my final project and I made progress with the pending assignments since the intention was also to apply what was done in the assignments to the final project.
