This weeks assignment was learning the Computer Aided Design which included both 2D and 3D Drawings. However, the challenge was the softwares to be downloaded and learnt within the short period. This week's assignment is to make a 2D and 3D model of a potential final project and here I am using Autocad to make a 2D model and Solidworks to make the 3D model. I also tried out FreeCad that I found out trough Professor Neil's Lecture and looked very handy and easy to use,so through it I made a small simple sketch guided with some YouTube tutorials for which I'll provide the link below.
\Using AUTOCAD I designed what looks like the outer structure of my project as a 2D model of the top plan as I had to have very detailed dimensions because of the standards set of the project.
After using AUTOCAD i had to use another software that can't transfer its 2D drawings in 3D,and COREL DRAW was pretty interesting although I couldn't cover all it can do I tried to make a 2D design from a
Youtube tutorialThrough this design I learnt the tranformation function which is more like an offset done within angles at the same distance
Using Solidworks I designed the outer structure of the project using the same dimensions. For which I had various difficulties while doing the assembly.
This is a 2D model that I got to manipulate and give a pan on the following.
This is a 3D model that I got to manipulate with functions like:
