Lens holing parts doesn’t hold the lens well
Gear rack stucks
Motor shaft slips in the gear hole. Need to adjust the size or do something to make them both fit…
Lens > added another layer to confine lens and it worked
Gear > added spacers between the motor and the mount to make room in rack and pinion compartment. It got better but still need a refinement.
Sliping motor shaft > Adjusted the size of gear hole, still need alternative mean to make firm connection between the shaft and the gear.
After assembling all the essential components, I wired servo motor, LED (installed three bullet-type LED tentatively), ToF range sensor and arduino up.

ToF range sensor can only measure 1m or so in “short range mode”. I need to set it to “long range mode”. However, it only can range to approx 2m max. Considering alternative range sensors.
LED stage (which is linked to the rack and the gear) loses its absolute position as servo motor slips.
