Applications and Implications

This topic is to focused on applications and implications of my final project

Assignment:

Plan and document a final project that integrates the range of units covered: Make a page that answers the following

  • What will it do?
  • It is an autonomous Vacuum Cleaner is to remove the dust from a very diffcult narrow spaces
  • Who's done what beforehand?

  • what materials and components will be required?
  • >> Materials :
    1x A3 3mm thickness Arcylic sheet for my base
    I will laser cut to cut my required shape base on my design using the Cad drawing
    An recycle material for my top cover.
    ABS/ equvalent material filament
    >> Components :
    Custom MCU board which require AtTiny Chip (or an ATMEGA depending on if the AtTinys do not have enough memory)
    Sona sensors
    Dual H-bridge motor driver. it will be the same as we had design during our output lesson except that i will put in addtional chip.
  • where will they come from?
  • For Electronic components : Fablab inventory, Farnall (element14), RS component
    FR boards : Fablab Inventory
    DC motors : from Hobby shop
  • how much will it cost?
  • The estimated cost will be S$50.00.
  • what parts and systems will be made?
  • I will make most of the parts in the Fablab. Except the motors and robot wheels which i salavage from the scraps areas.
  • what processes will be used?
  • 3D Cad design, 3D printing , laser cutting and Electronic production
  • what tasks need to be completed?
  • Programming of the H-bridge, fabricating or outstanding supportting structure and assembly the whole project.
  • what questions need to be answered?
  • Depending on my completion of basic goal. As my instructor want me to explore creating a network communication on my project.
  • what is the schedule?
  • The schedule follows the course as some of the parts/ components are being fabricated during the introduction of the electronic week.

  • how will it be evaluated?
  • My basic goal is have the basic parts moving like the h-bridge be able move the wheels forward and reverse. Before i implement an sensor into it.
