Cutting the mold on the Modela
I used the purple machinable wax to make my mold. As it can be seen from the picture above it did not come out very good. The white line on the right side is melted wax (the bit came loose as the Modella was cutting the but cut deep into the wax). The features are so small that I should have used the a smaller bit size (I used the 1/32 and it was too big and some of the finer details do not come across).
Molding and casting
The picture above illustrates the mold and the casting of one part. I made two molds one thicker than the other, the thinner one (above) has more details.
