Model, draw, render, animate, simulate, etc, a possible final project
For my final project, I am considering creating shoes that allow the user to provide the soundtrack to their dancing feet. There will be force sensor imbedded into the shoes that will translate the pressure of the body onto the shoe into music which will be audibly projected.
I used Rhino to model the shoes by first drawing the outline of an insole. From there, I created a surface which I extruded down to create the sole of the shoe. I then drew several curves to define the edges and trajectory of the fabric structure and used curve network to generate the surfaces. In order to design the fabric, I projected lines onto the surfaces and split the surfaces.
