TransSynaesthesia

By the moment, TransSynaesthesia is a device totally OPEN and LOW COST that permits to map and visualize a specific kind of synaesthesia through a specific “material thing”; but for my this is only a small part of the whole project that I’m planing to do, as a research with applications, to understand better this phenomenon or condition, in relation with language, communication and, of course, with the material world.

For this first prototype I used my own personal synaesthesia, but to make it both a research and a public device, I need to have more and more people mapping and sharing their “synaesthesias” and thinking abut how to use it to think and make things.

I need also “no synesthetics persons” trying to play with the device, in order to understand if it can be used from everyone, as a new multi-sensorial tool.

The Project needs A LOT OF PEOPLE WORKING … mapping and generating things …

For this, I think that is necessary to use a language that can be FRIENDLY OPEN and FREE for everyone … and I selected Processing and the Arduino IDE, in order to have this qualities  and this access.

And for this, I think that all the work has to be licensed under the Creative Commons Attributions Share Alike 3.0

In this way, the material creates by an artist can be distributed copied and exhibited by third parts, but only if it appears in all the credits, and all the derivative works must be under the same terms as the original work; for me this is a WARRANTY to PRESERVE the ORIGINAL idea and work the CREATOR, but that permits the INFINITE GROWTH of the work.
