- Our homework was to build a machine, automate it, and document the group project and each individual's contribution. This two week assignment is FUN, especially the collaboration aspect. We are making a Zen Garden.

- I did most of the research and all of the group documentation.
- I observed Dan designing in CAD and assisted with cutting cardboard and lasering parts.
- I milled the board with the Modela.
- I was part of the programming and testing every step of the way.
I learned.....
Research can be frustrating, as we all know. I learned new intricate details about CAD design from watching and helping Dan, my classmate. I was proficient at cutting the board but had a lot to learn about the complexities of wiring. I learned to ask for help, as I emailed several FAB Academy gurus to try to locate Bas' board which would have been easier than the route we chose to take. In the end, I was amazed at how quickly people responded and were so willing to help. The FAB network is quite amazing!
