I continued to work with my file from last week and decided to make a one part mold. Rather than have the piece be a flat disk, I decided to add some dimension to it and wrap it around a form. I have only begun to use Rhino, so one of my classmates Kenzo Abiko assisted me in wrapping it around a sphere. I then took that file to to Modela and machined a one-part mold out of wax. From there, I followed the instructions on the packaging to make a mold and then cast it in hydra-stone. I was incredibly impressed with how much detail the mold was able to contain.
