group assignment

the purpose of this week is to make a machine, including the end effector build the passive parts and operate it manually, document the group project and your individual contribution.

As I am alone, I will focus on the mechanical part of the project and hopefully I will have tine to work on the code for Gestalt Nodes.
The idea is to create a 3 axis machine on which you can plug a head tool after:

From the original Rhino file I redesign each part under Adobe illustrator to create part in wood (3mm). It is a pressfit assembly but this time I put some glue to be sure. following the result:

to minimize friction on the rail without a motor, I use ball bearing:


The machine is ready to be tested. As I am alone it could be a full project to do the whole machine, so I decide to stop here and come back on it in july.
