The weekly assignment focuses on the creation and documentation of a license for their final project. A plan for for sharing final project (dissemination) has also been described.
LICENSE: This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
You are free to: Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material
for any purpose, even commercially.
The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms
But under the following terms:
Attribution — You must give appropriate credit , provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.
The complete project will be donate to FabLab Olbia (website and facebook page).
DISSEMINATION: One of the main goals of the project is to increase the number of people attracted by robotics.
The dissemination will take place throughout the duration and the future updates of the project, with continuous diffusion of the results. The mentioned updates/results will be presented mainly in the FabLab Olbia webpage. Steps/updates I'd like to introduce in the mentioned dissemination will be (i.e.): (1) A specific web-site (different from the Lab web-site).The website will be available in English. A forum/blog specifically focused on project description will be opened. Everybody will be admitted/invited to discuss/suggest improvements.(2) Promotional material will be designed and developed and showed at all project events and at major conferences where the project will be presented. For the moment two event are incoming: the Maker Faire 2015 in Rome and the Sinnova 2015 in Cagliari. During the mentioned event the Final Project will be showed to people and (even from a technical point of view) described and detailed.
(3)Scientific publications/master thesis. One of my biggest future struggle will be related to the attempt to start at least one master thesis about the idea of a robotic fish. (4) It's a robot, so it must be tested. Test will be performed in swimming pools/open water. The robot can host an underwater camera for live recording. Videos will be published in YouTube/Vimeo channels and generally all the social media will be used (Instagram, Twitter, Vimeo, Pinterest, webTV and so on). (5) Another interesting update will be, in an advanced stage of design, the possibility to perform technical contest/competition between robotic fishes in order to make the people more competitive about improvements and design (6) All the data collected by the robotic fishes (position, routes, temperature, pressure, etc. will be disposable for university, school, etc. and will be freely downloadable in the relative web-site.
