For that week assigmnent we should build a toy for kids so I decided to build a "Rocking plane".
I have 2 kids (2.5 & 4.5 years old) and the toy should fit them both.
The first step I did was to see what desgins I can see at web so I googled "Rocking plane".
On that base photos I saw I made a basic model using sketchup that was devloped to that:
The model fit to 20 mm wood thickness and for 6.4 mm Diameter drill.
You can downold it here
or at 3D warehouse.
To cut the desgin the file should be save as *.dfx file and to do so I used to plugin I mentioned at week 03.
It's omportant to save diffrent layers for Internal and external cut (holes also..).
This need is for determine a diffrent cut parameters for the CNC machine.
Before cutting the all desgin we did a small checking to see the Match of the jointers
I found out that at the conversion procedure some measurement didn't save correctly - this was fixed :)
The DXF file can be download here.
Combine all part was good at the begining although that I need to polish some jointers but the main problem was when I connect parts not how they were should to.
This was the only reason for using two screws.
To avoid that at the in the future I will make the desgin with marks.
As for now there isn't marks yet so please check the model before building it..
This is my son doing QC :)
