WEEK 17 | Invention, Intellectual Property & Income

Project Objective
To help kids develop their social skills, focus their attention and achieve goals just by sitting and playing around a simple piece of furniture.

But could this project be pushed even further ?
Dissemination Plan - CoLabyrinth as a way to explore digital fabrication
You would like to play with CoLabyrinth, fine. Just come to a lab and make one! The idea would be to manage small groups of people, especially kids, and accompany them in their first "maker experience".

It would be the opportunity to introduce:
- a part of the fab lab culture: collaborate, learn & share,
- some fab lab machines: Laser cutter, Shopbot & Roland MDX-20,
- electronic: PCB milling, soldering, troubleshooting
- Arduino programming.

The goal would be to:
- make them realise that we're all makers,
- encourage them to start working on their projects,
- give them the will to improve their new skills.

This plan requires fab labs collaboration. Ideally, I would manage this project with a few groups in different fab labs over the world. I could also work with some primary schools just like I did in Wellington.

Colabyrinth complexity would change according to the group's average age and skills.
