Week 2 - Computer aided design
The goal this week was to try different 2D and 3D software. To be
honest I found them all pretty confusing. Between not having any
experience with any type of CAD program and still learning my new
Apple, things have been a little confusing for me.
I have been using InkScape, which I watched some YouTube videos from
2 nice British ladies. They were direct and to the point.

I was able, with InkScape, to do some lay outs for the toy box
sides, front and top. After talking to my instructor, with InkScape
designs, I should be able to export the files for use in the vinyl
cutter, router, and laser cutter. I am looking forward to using the
equipment.
What I plan to do is use plywood and acrylic. I want to router out
the acrylic and plywood, so it will look like the acrylic is
in-layed in the plywood. I will mount LED's by the acrylic and it
will illuminate.
